As a Managing Director at Synergy, Marshall brings significant experience in project management, process improvement, and strategic planning. With a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, Marshall is skilled in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies. His experience in spearheading high-performing projects, leading IT governance processes, and building relationships with stakeholders across the industry has proven his adeptness at working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans that align with business objectives.
Marshall is also experienced in developing and implementing process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and improve the customer experience through Agile software development models, and techniques to efficiently modernize legacy IT applications. Marshall holds certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMP®), Scaled Agile (SAFe Agilist®), Scrum Alliance (CSM®), the International Consortium for Agile (ICP-Agile®), and Axelos (ITIL v3®), with many additional certifications in Leadership, Business Processes, and Fire/EMS services.
In addition to his work at Synergy, Marshall holds the position of EMS Chief of the Shepherdstown Fire Department where he demonstrates strong leadership skills as one of two highest ranking members of the department, and a skilled Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, and Nationally certified instructor.
Marshall is a graduate of Shepherd University (BS), West Virginia University (MS), and Villanova University (PM). He serves on multiple local community boards and is a member of Covenant Church in Shepherdstown. He and his wife, Krystle, have two children and a German Shepherd.
